Exclusive manufacturing technology: BCS and RTM

This frame is based on two proprietary processes that place TIME at the summit of European carbon manufacturing. The BCS (Braided Carbon Structure) technology consists of dry weaving up to 7,300 carbon threads — approximately 3 km of fibers per frame — in 73 different braids, oriented bi-directionally to optimize resistance in each zone of the frame. Unlike conventional pre-impregnated sheets where fibers stop at the sheet end, TIME braided fibers are continuous throughout the entire frame length, eliminating structural weak zones.

• Resin Transfer Molding (RTM): High-pressure resin injection into molds containing dry fibers eliminates air bubbles and voids, ensuring perfect structural homogeneity and optimal resin content (less than 1% voids).
• Premium technical fibers: Blend of high-resistance (HR) and high-modulus (HM) carbon, combined with 3% Vectran® (fiber used in aerospace to absorb vibrations) and bio-sourced Dyneema® to reinforce impact resistance without adding weight to the frame.

Performance and Racing Drive geometry

The Alpe d'Huez 01 Disc displays the best stiffness-to-weight ratio in the TIME range (135 Nm/degree), even superior to the aero Scylon model in relative terms. The Racing Drive geometry adopts a pronounced sloping design, ideal for mountainous routes, with short wheelbases (977 mm in XS to 1,005 mm in XL) favoring agility on hairpin bends. The tapered head tube (1-1/8" to 1-1/2") and the TIME Quickset system allow precise bearing preload adjustment without constraint on the stem.

The optional Aktiv fork (575 g, +200 g) incorporates a tuned mass damper in the right leg (opposite side to the brake caliper), which reduces high-frequency vibrations by up to 30% felt at the handlebars.
