ATV CYCLES is a shop and workshop located between Grenoble and Chambéry, specialising in custom bike and wheel builds.
Each project is designed around brands selected for their reputation and reliability by a team of passionate professionals (Chiru Bikes, ARC8, Time, Forbidden, CEC Components, Berd Spoke, Trickstuff, Gemini, Bright Racing...).
Frame and components are then carefully assembled in our workshop according to your playing field, your practice, and your budget.
ATV CYCLES also offers the sale of bicycles and components in-store and online, a repair workshop, custom bike and wheel assembly, bike electrification, as well as bike rental and testing in the Chartreuse mountain range.

Better equipped, same budget
With an equivalent budget, a custom setup often allows for a more coherent bike than a catalogue model. At ATV CYCLES, the components are chosen for your practice, your playground, and your priorities, rather than to meet a standardised marketing sheet.
Quality above all
On a standard bike, part of the budget goes towards the brand, marketing, and sometimes 'showcase' components. In a custom build, the investment is focused on all the components (frame, wheels, brakes, handlebars, etc...) for a more qualitative, durable, and adaptable bike.
More reliable, same budget
A standard bike often offers mid-range wheels and standard components, with some compromises on reliability or weight. At ATV CYCLES, within a similar budget, each component is selected for your use, to last and minimise replacements.

Step 1 – We talk about you
A bike or a custom pair of wheels is simple: we start by listening to you, we discuss your needs, and then we come up with a coherent solution that matches your practice.
Step 2 – We choose the right base
We select together the most suitable frame (Chiru, ARC8, Forbidden or others) based on your practice, budget, size, and goals (racing, touring, endurance...).
Step 3 – We refine the assembly
We select each component – wheels, suspensions, transmission, brakes, cockpit – with one or more budget scenarios, for a coherent and scalable assembly.

Manager
After travelling around the world (Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Vietnam, Malaysia, Hawaii...), a cycling and skiing enthusiast, he founded ATV CYCLES in 2016, in his hometown, just after obtaining his bicycle mechanic diploma from CNPC.
For nearly 10 years, he has been sharing his passion, knowledge, and advice with the many cyclists who trust him.
His expertise and rigor enable him to respond to any request in the world of cycling.
Pierre
Cycle mechanic
Qualified cycle technician from the CNPC in Grenoble, he first honed his skills for several years in the industry before deciding to fully embrace his passion for mountain biking.
Joining the ATV CYCLES adventure has been the perfect opportunity for him to combine technical expertise and a love of the outdoors, in the service of high-performance and reliable bikes.
When he is not at the workshop, he roams the surrounding mountains, hiking in the summer or ski touring in the winter, always in search of new trails and beautiful outings.
This knowledge of the terrain is reflected in his advice and technical choices.
In the shop, he takes care of all types of bikes, from serious mountain bikes to commuter bikes, with the same level of commitment: clear diagnostics, careful repairs, precise adjustments, and educational explanations.
His goal is simple: for every bike to leave ready to ride, and for every customer to leave with a smile.
Damien
Cycle mechanic
Qualified cycle sales technician, passionate and committed every day at ATV Cycles. An expert in mechanics and advice, he supports all types of cyclists, from leisure riders to demanding competitors.
An endurance athlete, he performs in ultra-distance events on road, gravel, and mountain bike, with a solid track record: 2nd in the French Divide, 1st in the GTB, 3rd in the Bikingman 555 Vercors, and 3rd in the Race Across France. He also secured a 3rd place in the Raid in France (World Cup) in multisport raid.
Since 2021, he has been riding exclusively on bikes built by ATV Cycles. Each machine is developed, prepared, and tuned to a high standard, then tested in extreme conditions during the most demanding ultra-distance events. From competition to daily commuting, his equipment is tested over thousands of kilometres, ensuring reliability, performance, and durability.
Also an expert in cycling facilities, he supports local authorities and organisations in the development of secure and sustainable infrastructure.
His sporting performances thus constitute a true full-scale laboratory for ATV Cycles: each result, each event, and each kilometre travelled reinforces the technical legitimacy and quality standards upheld by the workshop.
Michel
Managing Partner
Alex's father joined the ATV CYCLES adventure in 2022. A sportsman at heart. Passionate about ski touring, between 1980 and 2000, he skied the steep slopes of numerous couloirs in Belledonne and Oisans. He enjoys mountain activities, mountain biking, and road cycling.
As he has aged, becoming more contemplative, he now enjoys endurance and discovery (ski and mountain bike raids, cycling trips) in France and Europe.
In the shop, it is the man behind the scenes who takes care of the back office (accounting, management, website etc...) and resolves all the small administrative issues of daily life so that the rest of the team can work under the best conditions.
