The BuzzRack E-HORNET 2 is the reference tow bar bike rack for e-bike and electric bike enthusiasts. Designed by the Taiwanese manufacturer King Rack, a recognized specialist in tube bending and precision welding, this platform bike rack combines exceptional robustness, ease of use and maximum safety. With a total load capacity of 60 kg (30 kg per bike), it accepts all types of electric bikes, including fat tires up to 4 inches and long wheelbases up to 134 cm in 29 inches. The 13-pin version ensures complete signaling (functional reverse and fog lights), while the tilt function allows access to the trunk without removing the bikes.

Available variants

• 13-pin variant (EAN 4712795383669): integrated 13-pin light board — complete signaling including reverse and fog lights. Ideal for vehicles equipped with a standard European 13-pin socket.
• 7-pin variant (Ref. BRP402 - 7 pins): integrated 7-pin light board — 7 to 13 pin adapter available as an option. Note that on a 7-pin socket, reverse and fog lights do not work (wiring not connected).

Compatibility and conditions of use

• Tow ball: standard ISO 50 mm — compatible with fixed and detachable balls (swan neck).
• Required clearance: minimum 65 mm between the center of the ball and the rear of the vehicle.
• Ball load to be observed: check that the weight of the bike rack (15.8 kg) + loaded bikes does not exceed the maximum permissible load on the ball of your vehicle.
• Tailgate limitation: does not allow opening of the tailgate for van-type vehicles (VW Transporter, Citroën Berlingo, Peugeot Partner, Renault Master...).
• Not compatible: motorhomes, caravans, trailers.
• Recommended accessory: BuzzRack loading ramp (sold separately) — essential to facilitate loading of heavy e-bikes (25-30 kg) without effort.

Use and assembly

The initial assembly of the E-HORNET 2 is simple: assembly of the wheel support frame to the base (4 screws), attachment of the light support (2 screws), installation of the license plate. Then, attachment to the ball is done without tools: position the bike rack on the ball (it holds itself), tighten the conical fixing knob, lock, then tension the anti-wobble (2-3 turns). To load a bike: position the bike on the wheel cradles, adjust the height of the frame clamp by sliding it on the vertical rail, tighten the clamp on the frame, attach the wheels with the ratchet straps, lock the clamps. The tilt is operated with one hand, even with the bikes in place, for instant access to the trunk. The system is designed for intuitive daily use.
