Dual Compound Technology: two materials for ultimate performance

Dual Compound technology combines two distinct NBR compounds molded together to address two conflicting requirements: maximum sealing and minimum friction. The green lip uses a robust material offering excellent resistance to high-pressure washing and mud intrusion, while the red lip is formulated from a Super Low Friction compound that ensures optimal stanchion tracking and drastically reduces friction. This combination guarantees ultra-sensitive suspension without compromising the protection of internal components.

Advanced geometry and technical design

• Double-lip wiper with optimized geometry: the wiper design incorporates an open coil seal spring that effectively prevents contaminant penetration while minimizing friction.
• Reinforced metal insert: a new metal insert provides structural support to the sealing lips, reducing stiction and extending seal life.
• Improved stanchion tracking: the enhanced properties of the sealing lips allow constant adaptation to stanchion micro-variations, optimizing sensitivity to small impacts.

Compatibility and installation

This kit is compatible with all Fox 38 Air forks (all models) and RockShox 38mm forks such as the ZEB (from 2015 onwards). Oil seal dimensions are Ø 38 x 48 x 8 mm. The complete kit includes 2 Dual Compound double-lip seals, 2 pre-impregnated foam rings for optimal lubrication, and 4 sealing washers for fork lowers. Manufactured in Italy to SKF standards, this kit weighs only 28 g and is installed during periodic maintenance of the lower fork legs.
