Design philosophy and advanced carbon lay-up
- Exclusive layup strategy: ARC8 uses a combination of high-strength, high-stiffness and intermediate (IM) fibers, oriented to exploit the maximum potential of each fiber. The design office uses draping simulation coupled with FEA software (finite element analysis), an approach still rare in the cycling industry.
- Torsional stiffness priority: The frame is first optimized for torsional stiffness, then made as aerodynamic, light and comfortable as possible without compromising this stiffness by more than 5%.
