CDX systems and applications
The CDX range from Gates is the brand's premium line, specially developed for long distances, high-performance e-bikes and intensive use. Reinforced with tensile carbon fibers, the CDX belt offers up to 30,000 km of lifespan, with no grease, no rust, no maintenance. CDX sprockets are CNC-machined to guarantee optimal tooth profile and lasting performance. This Fin Line model combines the strength of stainless steel and a lightweight design, for an exceptional weight/robustness compromise.
Installation and compatibility
The 9-Spline sprocket mounts directly onto standard Shimano HG freehub bodies (8, 9, 10, 11 speed) thanks to its nine splines. Warning: this sprocket is not compatible with Enviolo internally geared hubs manufactured before the 2024 model year. Belt line adjustment can be done via the sprocket's central offset or using spacers (sold separately). This system requires a frame with dedicated opening, Gates drives are not designed to convert a traditional closed frame.
