The Ridley Falcn 105 Di2 embodies the perfect balance between aerodynamics and lightweight, a concept that Ridley calls Aero-To-Weight. Designed for demanding cyclists who refuse to choose between aero performance and climbing, this complete bike in HM carbon from the Essential series (990 g frame in size M) offers the best of both worlds: streamlined tube profiles and aero efficiency comparable to the Noah Fast, while maintaining an ultra-competitive weight. Equipped with the Shimano 105 R7150 Di2 12-speed electronic groupset semi-wireless, hydraulic disc brakes and carbon wheels, the Falcn 105 Di2 transforms every ride into a high-level experience, whether on the flat, in the mountains or on rough roads.

Summary: a versatile and accessible race bike

The Falcn Essential retains the performance geometry, the 34 mm tire clearance and the diffuser fork crown of the top-of-the-line Falcn RS, while offering an optimized carbon construction for a more affordable price. The major difference lies in the round seatpost (vs D-profile of the RS) and the carbon composition, but the performance remains exceptional. With its standardized Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) SRAM, its 12 mm thru-axles and its BB86 bottom bracket, this frame incorporates modern standards for maximum reliability. The Shimano 105 Di2 groupset provides smooth, precise and effortless electronic shifting, with an internal rechargeable battery and approximately 1000 km autonomy.

Technical highlights

  • Aero-To-Weight frame: HM carbon Essential Series 990 g (size M), refined tubular profiles to combine aerodynamics and lightweight. Aero performance equivalent to the Noah Fast.
  • Shimano 105 R7150 Di2 12-speed groupset: Semi-wireless electronic transmission (wireless levers powered by CR1632 batteries, derailleurs wired to the internal BT-DN300 battery). 11-34 teeth cassette and 50/34 compact crankset for all gradients.
  • Hydraulic disc braking: Shimano 105 BR-R7170 Flat Mount calipers, exemplary power and modulation in all weather conditions.
  • Generous tire clearance: Up to 34 mm actual width, optimized for 28 mm tires. More comfort, less rolling resistance, increased versatility (rough tarmac, cobbles, long distances).
  • High-performance wheels and tires: Depending on specification, Forza Skiron CR38 carbon wheels (38 mm depth, DT Swiss 370 hub) or Shimano RX180 TLR. Vittoria Rubino Pro IV 700×28c or Zaffiro EVO V 700×30c tires.
  • Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH): SRAM standardized derailleur hanger, easy to replace anywhere in the world (ref. HANUDHSRA001).
  • Integrated aero diffuser: Fork crown with diffuser, optimizes airflow and reduces turbulence.

Geometry and standards: modern racing

The Falcn geometry was designed by Ridley engineers to favor speed, stability and reactivity. The head tube is shorter than on the Noah Fast and Helium SLX, resulting in a more aggressive position typical of competition. The bottom bracket is positioned slightly lower to account for wider tires, guaranteeing control and confidence in all circumstances. Wheelbase designed for a balance between agility and long-distance stability. Five sizes available (XS to XL) cover cyclists from 162 cm to over 190 cm. Compatibility with integrated Forza Cirrus Pro cockpit or traditional handlebar/stem combination with transition spacers (SPAAER4ZA012 or Deda Superbox).

Transmissions and batteries: simplified Di2 technology

The Shimano 105 R7150 Di2 marks the arrival of electronic shifting at the third level of the Shimano range. Semi-wireless architecture: the ST-R7170 levers communicate wirelessly with the internal battery (powered by two CR1632 batteries in each lever), the FD-R7150 (front) and RD-R7150 (rear, 41 teeth total capacity) derailleurs are connected by E-Tube cable to the BT-DN300 battery mounted in the seatpost. Autonomy of approximately 1000 km. Recharge via EW-EC300 cable. Fast, precise, customizable shifting via the E-Tube Ride app (Bluetooth / ANT+). Option to activate Synchronized Shift mode to simplify gear changes. Complete groupset weight: approximately 2992 g, an excellent weight/price ratio.

Wheels, tires and finishing: ready to ride

Depending on configurations, the Falcn 105 Di2 receives either Forza Skiron CR38 carbon wheels (38 mm depth, 19 mm internal width, DT Swiss 370 hub, tubeless ready), or Shimano RX180 TLR. Vittoria Rubino Pro IV 700×28c folding tires (or Zaffiro EVO V 700×30c), balance between speed, grip and longevity. Handlebar and stem Forza Stratos Pro (reach 70 mm, drop 122 mm, semi-integrated routing) or Deda Zero 2 / Superbox depending on spec. Forza Cirrus carbon/alu seatpost with 10 mm offset (350 or 400 mm). Selle San Marco Shortfit 2.0 or Selle Italia Model Y saddle depending on versions. Pedals not included. Glossy finish with choice of elegant colors.
