The Instinctiv Ocelot 125 Frameset reinvents the concept of lightweight high-performance eMTB. This carbon frame kit integrates the revolutionary Swiss Maxon AIR S motor (90 Nm / 620 W) and a 400 Wh battery for a total weight of only 7.5 kg. Designed and hand-assembled in the Netherlands, this frameset offers an exceptional foundation for a complete electric bike of 16.4 to 18.8 kg depending on components, defying all conventions of the full-power eMTB segment.
Patented PUMA suspension system
The PUMA system with four linkages represents the technical heart of the Ocelot. This multi-link kinematics allows independent adjustment of the leverage ratio, guaranteeing optimal traction and exceptional sensitivity on technical trails. With 125 mm of rear travel (paired with a 160 mm fork), the Ocelot 125 displays a perfect balance between pedaling efficiency and downhill performance.
- Constant anti-squat: values from 115% (small chainring) to 108% (large chainring) at SAG, guaranteeing efficient pedaling in all gears
- Controlled anti-rise: between 84 and 99% throughout the travel for stable and predictable braking
- Optimized progression: 18% overall progression with an initial leverage ratio of 2.5 to absorb impacts and bumps
- Trunnion shock: 185 × 55 mm standard with trunnion mount to free up space and lower the center of gravity
- AL7075 linkages and pivots: CNC machined from aerospace aluminum for maximum rigidity and longevity
- Enduro LLU MAX bearings: wide contacts, grade 10 balls, double-lip labyrinth seals for extreme sealing and durability
Integrated Maxon AIR S motor system
The Maxon AIR S, manufactured in Switzerland by a pioneer in electric motorization (NASA, F1, surgical robots), is a game changer. At only 2 kg, this motor delivers 90 Nm of torque and 620 W peak power, an exceptional power-to-weight ratio in the full-power eMTB category.
- Compact integration: motor perpendicular to the bottom bracket, worm drive transmission, minimal footprint and undetectable clean design
- Natural assistance: up to 400% support with 85% efficiency, for an ultra-smooth and instinctive pedaling feel
- 400 Wh battery: 1.8 kg lithium-ion perfectly integrated into the downtube, generous range for trail rides and light enduro
- Range extender available: 250 Wh external battery (1.6 kg) attachable to the frame to extend range on alpine outings
- Motor warranty: 2 years covering the entire drivetrain system
Monocoque carbon frame: lightness and rigidity
The monocoque carbon frame of the Ocelot 125 weighs only 3.1 kg bare. Each unit is hand-assembled in the Netherlands, then coated with a 3-layer bi-component coating manually applied in Europe for an impeccable finish and maximum protection.
- Full internal routing: cables and housings perfectly guided inside the frame for clean design and optimal protection
- UDH standard: Universal Derailleur Hanger compatible for simplicity and interchangeability
- Post Mount 180 mm brakes: standard mounts for high-performance 4-piston calipers
- 2.6-inch tire width: compatibility with trail and enduro tires for maximum grip and comfort
- Short 445 mm chainstays: identical across all sizes for agility and maneuverability in hairpins and narrow singletrack
- Short seatpost insertion: integrated pivot limits depth; Fox Transfer telescopic seatpost 150 mm (MD size) or 180 mm (LG/XL) recommended
- European manufacturing: 65% of added value produced in Europe, in-house quality controls, final assembly in the Netherlands
Modern and versatile geometry
Available in three sizes (MD, LG, XL) for riders from 160 to 200 cm, the Ocelot 125 features contemporary trail geometry: 64.5° head angle, 77° effective seat tube angle, reach from 460 to 500 mm and stack from 630 to 650 mm.
- MD size: 460 mm reach, 630 mm stack, 605 mm top tube, 1,243 mm wheelbase
- LG size: 480 mm reach, 640 mm stack, 627 mm top tube, 1,265 mm wheelbase
- XL size: 500 mm reach, 650 mm stack, 648 mm top tube, 1,287 mm wheelbase
- Bottom bracket height: 346 mm (26 mm drop) for high-speed stability and generous ground clearance
- Short seat tubes: allow upsizing to optimize reach and handling according to body type and riding style
