The Forbidden Dreadnought E is the most radical electric interpretation of modern enduro: a full carbon machine with long travel (170/180 mm) designed to devour the most technical descents with the raw power of the Avinox M2S or M2 system. With its geometry inspired by the Supernought DH, its Trifecta V2 High Pivot 4-bar suspension, and MX (29"/27.5") wheels, this e-MTB fully embraces its gravity-first DNA while offering range that pushes the limits of rideable terrain.

Technical Overview

Forbidden offers the Dreadnought E in four builds (Tier 1 to Tier 4), all on the same carbon frame, with two Avinox motors (M2S 130/150 Nm for T1/T2, M2 110/125 Nm for T3/T4) and two battery capacities (600 or 800 Wh). The platform is based on a High Pivot linkage with carbon rocker, an 18-tooth steel idler on Enduro Solid Lube bearings, and One Ride geometry where chainstays lengthen proportionally to reach (from 434 to 478 mm) to ensure consistent balance across all sizes. The 170 mm rear travel (230x65 mm shock) is paired with a 180 mm fork, all mounted on mixed wheels to maximize traction and maneuverability.

Technical Highlights

  • High-modulus full carbon frame: Front/rear triangles, rocker link, and integrated guards in carbon — manufacturer's lifetime warranty.
  • Trifecta V2 High Pivot suspension: 4-bar high pivot architecture with rearward axle path, optimized to absorb violent impacts while preserving traction and dynamism on the rebound.
  • 18-tooth steel idler with dual Enduro bearings: Refined tooth profile and solid-lubricated bearings for maximum longevity and compatibility with latest-generation T-Type drivetrains.
  • Proportional One Ride geometry: Head angle 63°, reach 425–481 mm, stack 635–682 mm, progressive chainstays (434–478 mm) to center the rider regardless of size — high, relaxed, naturally balanced position.
  • MX wheels (29"/27.5"): 29" front for rollover and stability, 27.5" rear for agility and acceleration — tire clearance up to 27.5 × 2.6".
  • Avinox M2S system (T1/T2): 130 Nm continuous, 150 Nm in Boost mode (30 sec), 1,300 W peak power, 2.6 kg — 2" OLED touchscreen, bilateral wireless control, Ride app to customize all modes.
  • Avinox M2 system (T3/T4): 110 Nm (125 Nm Boost), 1,100 W peak, 2.65 kg — same control interfaces and smart functions.
  • 600 or 800 Wh battery: Fast charge 0–75% in 1h30 (168 W charger included), 65 W USB-C output to power light/smartphone, choice between lightweight (600 Wh ≈ 22.5–23.4 kg) and maximum range (800 Wh ≈ 23.8–24.3 kg).
  • Four variants for all budgets: From accessible Tier 4 (Zeb Select, Super Deluxe, Eagle 70, DB4) to ultimate Tier 1 (Zeb/Vivid Coil Ultimate, X0 AXS wireless powered by bike battery, Maven Ultimate, carbon Synthesis wheels).

Geometry and Standards

The Dreadnought E comes in 4 sizes (S1 to S4) covering riders from approximately 158 to 198 cm. The One Ride Geometry philosophy progressively lengthens chainstays (from 434 to 478 mm) as reach and stack increase, maintaining a constant front center/rear center ratio for identical balance across all sizes. The ultra-slack 63° head angle, generous stack (635–682 mm), and short 150 mm cranks as standard create a centered, high, comfortable riding position — close to a DH bike but with enduro range. Bottom bracket height 340.8 mm (drop -20 mm) for a low center of gravity, wheelbase 1,215–1,340 mm. Modern standards: integrated Avinox motor, ZS44/ZS56 headset, 15×110 Boost front axle, 12×148 Boost rear, 34.9 mm seat collar, 31.6 mm post. Max tire clearance 27.5 × 2.6".

Use and Positioning

The Dreadnought E targets the demanding enduro rider who wants a pure-descent-oriented e-MTB without compromise on climbing performance. Designed to chain bike park runs, tackle ultra-technical rocky enduro stages, conquer steep and broken slopes of major mountain ranges — anywhere a DH bike would be ideal but mechanical climbing remains essential. Avinox power (up to 150 Nm in Boost) transforms transfers and liaisons into play, while the High Pivot kinematics and generous travel erase terrain brutality at high speed. Forbidden accepts a high weight (22.5–24.3 kg) to prioritize robustness, stability, and battery capacity, making the Dreadnought E a true electric battleship built for terrain where only heavy artillery survives.
