The Chiru Divider embodies excellence in grade 9 titanium frame design for ultra-distance and extreme bikepacking. Fastest bike at the 2018 Trans-Germany, second at the 2019 Highland Trail 550, and proven on the French Divide, this adventure MTB frame is built to tackle all terrains, from technical singletrack to fast-rolling trails, loaded or unloaded.

Ultra-endurance philosophy and design

Product of the advanced engineering of Pierre-Arnaud Le Magnan, founder of Chiru Bikes since 2009, the Divider was born from the extreme demands of ultra-distance racing. Tested in real-world conditions during adventure races and fully self-supported crossings, this frame meets unforgiving requirements: absolute reliability, long-distance comfort, and maximum versatility. Each variable-thickness 3Al/2.5V titanium tube is cold-formed to optimize the stiffness/comfort ratio. The curved seatstays, mounted low on the seat tube, maximize vertical compliance to filter rough surfaces for hundreds of kilometers. The 27.2 mm seatpost also contributes to the comfort sought on long distances.

Versatility and terrain adaptability

  • Exceptional tire clearance: Optimal section for 29 x 2.0" to 2.4" tires, but the frame accepts up to 29 x 2.8" or 27.5 x 3.0" in Plus-Size configuration for increased comfort and traction on technical terrain.
  • Adjustable rear dropout: 15 mm chainstay length adjustment to position the rear wheel in the ideal position according to your riding style (responsive XC or stable bikepacking).
  • Fork compatibility: Rigid titanium or carbon, or suspension 100-130 mm depending on your use and target terrain.
  • Modular drivetrain: Compatible with 34T single-chainring Boost (Shimano XT mechanical/Di2, SRAM GX/X01/XX1 mechanical/AXS), but also single-speed with chain thanks to the adjustable dropout and right chainstay opening.

Bikepacking engineering and loading

The Divider's modern geometry was designed for complete self-sufficiency over multiple days. The frame integrates 5 bottle cage mounting points (three 750 ml bottles can be mounted simultaneously), integrated eyelets for full frame bag and top tube bag, as well as rack and fender mounts. Internal or external cable routing depending on configuration, with dedicated passages for dropper post and rear light.

Modern standards and compatibility

  • T47 x 92 mm bottom bracket: Robust and durable standard, easy to maintain.
  • 148 x 12 mm Boost rear thru-axle: Optimal stiffness and compatibility with all modern hubs.
  • 160 mm Post Mount brake: Braking power adapted to loaded bikepacking.
  • 56/44 mm tapered semi-integrated headset: Steering precision and compatibility with modern 1 1/8" - 1 1/2" forks.
  • SRAM UDH derailleur hanger: Universal standard guaranteeing compatibility with all recent and future drivetrains.

Geometry and sizes

Available in four sizes (S, M, L, XL) for riders from 163 cm to over 190 cm. All-terrain geometry with 68.5°-69° head angle for loaded stability, 73.5° seat tube angle for climbing efficiency, and generous wheelbase (1124 to 1166 mm) ensuring comfort and confidence over long distances. Progressive stack from 610 mm (S) to 641 mm (XL), reach from 414 mm (S) to 463 mm (XL).

Finish and complete kit

The Chiru Divider frameset includes the hand-brushed titanium frame with laser-etched logo (natural grey finish), the semi-integrated headset, the Ø 31.8 mm titanium seat collar, the titanium bottle cage hardware, and the 148 x 12 mm rear thru-axle. Complete kit weight: 1900 grams in size M, an excellent weight/robustness ratio for a titanium frame of this versatility. Manufactured in Asia under the strict supervision of Pierre-Arnaud Le Magnan based in Hong Kong, guaranteeing welding quality and impeccable finishes.
